| This document explains how to
disable iPod's automatic update feature.
To transfer individual songs and playlists manually,
without erasing music from iPod, you must disable
automatic updating.
To disable automatic updating:
1. Connect iPod to your computer
2. Open iTunes.
3. Select iPod in the iTunes source list.
4. Click the Options button.
5. Select "Manually manage songs and playlists."
Disabling automatic updating also enables iPod
to be used as an external hard disk.
Important: The Options button does not appear
unless iPod is connected to your computer. It
does not appear in iTunes otherwise. |
